A 33-inch shoot-through umbrella is a portable, translucent white modifier that softens and spreads flash or studio light. It transmits about 50% of light directly through the fabric, creating flattering, low-contrast illumination ideal for tight portraits, headshots, and small product setups.
Setup: Mount your flash or speedlight facing your subject, then slide the umbrella shaft into the umbrella holder on your flash bracket or light stand.
Positioning: Point the concave (inner) side of the umbrella toward your subject. Place the light close to the subject for softer light, or move it back to widen the spread.
